Our Communal Solution is ideal for blocks with 49 or more flats. Based on the Sky Integrated Reception System (IRS), it is highly flexible and can be adapted to blocks of many different types and sizes.
An IRS gives people living in flats access to digital terrestrial TV, digital satellite TV and FM and DAB radio – so they are fully prepared for the digital switchover. It also allows them to continue watching analogue TV, if they want to, until the switchover happens. This is ideal for elderly residents and others who might want more time to adapt to the idea of digital TV. And for those who want to go digital straight away, it offers access to exciting innovations like Sky+ and Sky+ HD. Because it’s ‘platform neural’, it gives them freedom to select the digital TV supplier of their choice.
