Sky is celebrating winning five industry awards including best ‘triple-play’ provider for TV, Broadband and Homephone and a Which? Best Buy Award for its Sky+HD box.

Sky won Best Provider of TV, Broadband and Home Phone, with more than 4 million people now choosing Sky for all three of TV, broadband and home phone. Sky also won Best TV Provider for the second year running, Best Customer Benefits and Best TV Streaming Service for the multi award-winning mobile TV service Sky Go.

Which? magazine awarded Sky with the Best Buy Award for the latest Sky+HD box with built-in Wi-Fi, which includes being able to record up to 185 hours of standard-definition TV, or 60 hours in high definition and space for content on BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5.

Brendan Hegarty, Head of Sky Communal TV comments, “These awards reflect the shifting expectations of residents moving into homes wanting access to the latest TV services - such as on demand and being able to have access to Sky in more than one room in their property. Sky is raising the bar all the time on new and exciting developments in TV and broadband technology.”

In October last year, Sky launched the ‘Single Cable Solution’, a simple system upgrade for any block that has a communal TV system so that residents can enjoy the latest in TV viewing and technology. It works by delivering the two signals required for full Sky+ functionality down an existing single cable system.  This allows access to Sky Multiscreen services (the ability to watch Sky in multiple rooms) and provides the capability to pause and rewind, and record two or more shows at one time.

Single Cable Solution is available from Sky approved and specialist installers, with various subsidies available.  For further information and to arrange a free survey, visit or call  08442 410326.
