It’s been a busy few weeks for Sky, as we’ve worked with our partners to launch our brand new Plug-In Adapter, the latest communal TV solution. Making it even easier for residents to get Sky Q in their flat, the new Plug-In Adapter also makes the process quicker and simpler for Managing Agents by cutting out the need to reconfigure the existing communal TV system. It is already proving to be very popular with MAs, who see it as a flexible way of giving their residents’ access to Sky Q quickly and easily.
We’ve also been out and about meeting customers and potential customers to talk about the new Plug-In Adapter. In June, we took the Plug-In Adapter to Manchester for the Chartered Institute of Housing’s conference ‘Housing 2017’. 11,000 professionals from Managing Agent companies and Housing Associations walked through the doors across the three-day event, which also saw a 14% growth in visitor numbers compared to the previous year.
The event gave us the opportunity to make some great contacts and to talk about an exciting future solution for Housing Associations. Unsurprisingly, they were particularly keen on the simple customer journey and the shorter lead times to get Sky Q up and running with the Plug-In Adapter.
As always, seeing Sky Q up and running as a demonstration is always a big draw for our stand and we had also some very positive conversations with general public/tenants at the show. A good number signed up there and then on the stand after being wowed by Sky Q and its incredible features.
Next up, we’re looking forward to speaking at the HBF National Utility Conference in September. We will be taking to the podium to talk about some of our latest developments in new build and look forward to some great conversations with developers.
